Connecting People Caring for Nature
Welcome to the Green Chorlton Hub, a place for environmental inspiration and collaboration online and in real life for Chorlton residents and visitors.
Our base is Chorlton Community Garden, a tiny green space barely 10 square metres, in the centre of our busy suburb.
Chorlton Community Garden is being redeveloped as a green hub for fun and relaxation, as well as learning how we can reduce our impact on the environment and cope with climate change. Do get in touch if you have information about an environmental group or activity to share:
- for this website's Local Green Events page
- for our noticeboard on the community garden railings
Please visit the Chorlton Community Garden page to find out more about activities and attempts to refurbish and re-open the garden.
Find out about our new container veg project, Space to Grow.
The Green Chorlton Hub is coordinated by Chorlton Civic Society and also involves Manchester Council, Chorlton Plant Swap and Gardening Advice, Chorlton Community Land Trust and Chorlton Arts Festival.
A Friends of Chorlton Community Gardens group has regular meetings and undertakes public consultations. Do get in touch.
