Gardening for Wellbeing: Free Creative with Nature Workshops at Chorlton Community Garden

Join us for a 7‑session course of nature‑based crafts and activities designed to support health and wellbeing.

Combining time outdoors, creative activities and simple nature‑based crafts, the course supports local residents to build confidence, meet new people, manage stress and feel more connected to the natural world.

About the service This course is being delivered by Sow the City. Sessions blend ecotherapy, hands‑on creative activities and some time outdoors, supporting people to improve wellbeing in a supportive small group. Workshops will take place in Chorlton Community Garden and the community room in Chorlton Library, depending on the weather and the activity.

The course is designed for Manchester residents experiencing any of the following:

  • Mild to moderate depression or anxiety

  • Stress or low confidence

  • Low physical activity levels

  • Lack of community connection

  • Disconnection from nature

  • Bereavement
